Survive the Canadian Winter without back pain!
- Keep your hips and shoulders squared up towards the shovel
- bend from your knees and your hips
- keep your back straight
- engage your core muscles while you lift or push the snow
- avoid picking up the snow by bending and twisting .. instead opt for a push shovel/technique
ps- Don’t forget to warm up before shovelling!! Snow can be heavy and shovelling can be considered a moderate to intense exercise.
