FAQs
Are your physiotherapists trained to treat my condition?
Yes! Physiotherapists have years of university-level training in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology (study of joint movement), neurology, and are experts in human movement.
At Foundation, all our physiotherapists and massage therapists undergo a rigorous 24 week on-boarding and training program, taught by senior and lead physiotherapists with over 20 years of experience. This program covers assessment skills, manual therapy, special conditions, communication, exercise prescription and clinical reasoning. This ensures that, no matter who you see, you can trust that you are in great hands. Our team is also invested in regular mentorship, clinical case rounds and coaching with respect to specialized conditions or complex cases.
All Foundation associates are provided with professional development reimbursement to continue professional learning regardless of their years of experience!

Can I continue sessions even after I feel better?
Yes, once you have completed your plan of care, your therapist will encourage you to continue your home exercise and self care program. It is highly recommended to continue to check in with your physiotherapist monthly or bimonthly to be reassessed and progressed.
You can also continue with massage therapy, chiropractic or any of our other sport-specific or wellness related services.
How do I find a physiotherapist?
As a patient, you have the right to receive physiotherapy at any place you choose. At Foundation Physiotherapy, you will receive the highest quality care while achieving the results you need.
We pride ourselves on providing a positive, encouraging environment with well-trained, friendly staff. We are confident in our ability to help you reach your goals and live a pain-free life.
How long will each of my sessions last ?
Typically, the first session lasts for 1 hour. Each session after that may be 30 or 60 minutes. The amount of time will be based on your specific needs, and your therapist will discuss this with you.

Loyalty Program
*Note: Loyalty points expire ONE YEAR after transaction. For example, if 95 points were collected on Jan 1, 2023, they will expire Jan 1, 2024.*
*Once you reach 900 points, you earn a free 30 minute massage. Loyalty massages with a senior RMT are 1000 points for 30 minutes.*
* Loyalty massages cannot be used towards 45 minute massages. If you would like to use it towards a 60 minute massage, please contact our clinic for details.*
The Loyalty Program is a privilege for clients and customers of Foundation Physiotherapy & Wellness.
Management reserves the right to review, update and change the program.
Management will provide clients with one month’s notice. All notice and updates are sent via email.

Direct Billing and Insurance
In an effort to provide timely and efficient client care, we are no longer able to bill your extended health benefits directly. We understand this has been a helpful service in the past, but with growing clientele and limited human resources, we have had an increasing amount of unpaid services.
Our mission is to deliver a memorable and quality health care experience. In order to meet this mission and to keep our service costs competitive, we have decided to change our direct billing policies.

- Direct billing will no longer be provided for RMT, Bracing or Orthotics services.

- Direct billing for physiotherapy will ONLY occur as exception, with approval from a manager or director, if it has been determined the client cannot pay out of pocket.
