Ana Diaz
RMT
Registered Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer
Location: Downtown Core and CityPlace
My name is Ana, a MexiCAN-Italian caring and kind Registered Massage Therapist and Fitness Coach.
My calling is all about bringing the holistic perspective back into healthcare through my Massage Therapy practice, supporting the body not only structurally, but also through the lens of the nervous system, movement, and human connection.
After more than 15 years working in corporate roles as a Communications and PR Manager, in 2019 I decided to change careers in Toronto and become a Personal Trainer. While working for GoodLife Fitness, Rosedale Club, Ferris360, and launching my own virtual strength and conditioning coaching business during the pandemic, I realized there was a huge need for health and wellness education, self-care awareness, and injury prevention in sports and fitness environments.
These experiences motivated me to pursue my Massage Therapy Diploma. I earned my Massage Therapy Diploma (Cum Laude) from Oxford College of Business and Technology (Toronto campus) in 2023.
My credentials and certifications include a Senior Rehab Training Certification from the UHN Toronto Rehab Institute, a Neuromuscular and Myofascial Therapy Certification, Polyvagal Theory for Nervous System Regulation, a Fascial Stretch Therapy Diploma from DTS Fitness Education, as well as certifications in Personal Training, Group Fitness Instruction, and Cycling Coaching.
My practice integrates myofascial therapy, fascial stretch therapy, biomechanics, and nervous system regulation to support how people move, recover, and adapt. Inspired by approaches such as Fighting Monkey movement practice, I incorporate principles of variability, rhythm, coordination, and play to challenge habitual movement patterns and stimulate neuroplasticity. This perspective recognizes that the body and nervous system are constantly sensing the environment, processing information, and adapting in real time.
Through therapeutic bodywork and movement education, I focus on releasing fascial restrictions, restoring efficient biomechanics, and supporting a nervous system that can respond rather than react.
My work is also informed by concepts from Polyvagal Theory, acknowledging how safety, breathing, rhythm, and movement influence regulation, recovery, and resilience.
Over the last few years, I have dedicated much of my time to studying, teaching, traveling, and engaging in different holistic and therapeutic practices while working as a Massage Therapist in Toronto, Mexico, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. During my training in Nova Scotia, I also worked for six months treating pre- and postnatal clients supporting them through maternity preparation and recovery.
I am particularly passionate about coaching women and youth, helping them build body awareness, confidence, and strong movement foundations. Whether through therapeutic care, athletic training, or group movement practice, my goal is to create environments where people feel supported, empowered, and curious about their bodies.
Strong foundations start from the ground up.
