Foundation Physio Golf

Are you looking to recover from or prevent injuries this golf season? Feeling pain after a round of golf? Or looking to improve your posture, stance, and swing?

Or maybe you’re new to golf and just want to make sure you know what you’re doing?

Multiple factors can be affecting your golfing performance, such as mobility through your trunk and hips, muscle strength and flexibility and your postures and positions.

Our Golf Better Physiotherapy Program is developed and delivered by physiotherapists with special interest in golf. It is a 4 session program designed to take you from a detailed assessment to improved strength, mobility, and performance in 4 to 6 weeks.

What the program offers:

  • In-depth history of injuries, aches, and/or pains
  • Physical Screening assessing joint mobility and the body’s capability to move for a golf swing. Physical Screening includes Pelvis, Torso, upper body, hip, ankle, wrist, and neck assessment.
  • Swing Characteristic Screen: Screening of set up posture and various common swing characteristics that appear due to poor joint mobility related to findings in physical screening of joint mobility.
  • Strength and mobility corrections for issues found during physical screening
  • A detailed plan of care
  • Review and reassessment of your Physical and Swing screens
  • Manual therapy to improve joint and muscle mobility
  • Exercises on and off the course to improve your strength and range of motion!
